The 5 Dimensions of Job Readiness
Mental Readiness
You accept work as a commitment. You understand it will be challenging sometimes. You're prepared to follow instructions, accept feedback, and work hard even when tasks are repetitive or boring.
Practical Readiness
You have the tools and logistics sorted: transportation to work, necessary documents, a smartphone, work clothes. You've researched the job and know what to expect.
Physical Readiness
You're physically capable of doing the job. For warehouse work, you can handle the physical demands. For delivery, you can ride a bike or drive safely. No health issues that will cause frequent absences.
Skill Readiness
You have the basic skills the job requires, OR you're capable of learning them quickly. You've done training or practice if needed.
Financial Readiness
You don't need money urgently (desperation leads to bad decisions). You can manage your expenses with the salary offered. You're not stressed about finances which would affect work.
